Learning at Excellence
At Excellence Early Learning Center, our curriculum is rooted in our philosophy that children learn best when they feel safe, known, supported, and actively engaged in meaningful experiences. We believe learning should be joyful, hands-on, and responsive to each child’s individual needs, interests, and stage of development.
Located in Hurst, Texas, we provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. Through purposeful play, intentional teaching, strong relationships, and real-world exploration, we help children build confidence, curiosity, independence, and a genuine love of learning.
Our Philosophy in Practice
Our philosophy guides everything we do in the classroom. We see each child as a capable learner with their own strengths, personality, interests, and way of making sense of the world. Rather than expecting every child to learn in exactly the same way or at the same pace, our teachers create opportunities for children to explore, ask questions, solve problems, build relationships, and develop new skills through play and meaningful interaction.
Learning Beyond Paper
Our teachers use Learning Beyond Paper to support development across key areas of early childhood learning. Activities are designed around age-appropriate themes and experiences that strengthen language, early literacy, mathematics, science, social-emotional development, fine and gross motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving.
Learning Through Play
Play is an important part of how young children understand the world. Through dramatic play, art, sensory experiences, building, music, movement, conversation, and exploration, children practice important skills while developing confidence and independence.
Supporting Every Stage
Our curriculum grows with your child. Infants build early communication, sensory awareness, movement, and secure relationships. Toddlers strengthen language, independence, coordination, and social skills. Preschoolers build early literacy, math, problem-solving, and classroom routines that help prepare them for a successful transition to elementary school.
Beyond the Classroom
Learning at Excellence does not stop at the classroom door. Field trips, community experiences, enrichment programs, and hands-on exploration give children opportunities to connect what they are learning to the world around them.
Preparing Children for What Comes Next
Our goal is not simply to prepare children for the next classroom. We want them to become curious learners who feel confident asking questions, trying new things, building relationships, and solving problems.
Start here, succeed anywhere.
