A Bit about me...
Thank you for your interest in Excellence Early Learning Center!
My name is Dr. Aminah Knight, and I am the owner, Director, and curriculum designer of Excellence Early Learning Center. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education and Special Education from New York University in 2009, my Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Southern California in 2015, and my Doctorate in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University in 2022. I am also a published author, wife, and mother of six.
As you may have noticed from my academic background, education is very important to me. I am a lifelong learner who loves to challenge myself and pursue my biggest dreams. When my husband and I first met, he asked me about my professional goal, and I said, “I want to be the Secretary of Education!” I am confident that, with dedication, hard work, and the blessings of God, my dream will come true.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in 2009 with my two children by my side. Without the support of my family, access to excellent childcare, and my own discipline and determination, I don’t believe I would have reached the academic and professional milestones I once dreamed of.
Excellence Early Learning Center is committed to providing exceptional childcare and early learning experiences for children and families in Hurst, Texas. I understand that every parent or caregiver wants the peace of mind that comes from knowing their child is safe, loved, supported, and learning while they are away. I remember that feeling as a parent myself, knowing my own children were happy and thriving while I studied and worked to build a wonderful life for them. My team and I are here to provide families with that same sense of confidence, care, and connection every day.

About Us
At Excellence Early Learning Center, we provide nurturing, high-quality daycare and early learning in Hurst, Texas, for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. Our program is rooted in multiculturalism, small class sizes, healthy eating, and a warm, loving environment that feels like home. Located in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford school district, our team reflects the diversity of the families we serve and brings a wide range of educational and professional backgrounds into the classroom.
We maintain a low staff-to-child ratio so children receive the individual attention, encouragement, and supervision they need to thrive. This commitment reflects our philosophy that children learn best when they feel known, supported, and connected to the adults caring for them. Whether families are looking for infant care, toddler care, preschool in Hurst, or before and after school care, our teachers focus on building strong relationships, supporting learning, and helping each child feel safe, confident, and known.
Healthy habits are also an important part of the Excellence experience. We serve well-balanced meals, offer water throughout the day, and include fresh fruits and vegetables with meals to support children’s growth, energy, and overall well-being.
Most importantly, we want every child to feel loved, secure, and at home from the moment they arrive. Our teachers welcome children warmly, help them settle into the rhythm of the day, and create a strong sense of belonging within our early learning community.
