At Excellence Early Learning Center, we provide nurturing childcare and early learning in Hurst, Texas, right in the heart of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford community and HEB ISD. Excellence Early Learning Center began as a licensed in-home daycare in Bedford and has since grown into our childcare center in Hurst, while keeping the warm, personal feel families have always loved. Founded by Dr. Aminah Knight, an experienced educator and school leader with degrees from NYU, USC, and Vanderbilt University, Excellence is built on the belief that every child can thrive in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. When we moved to the HEB area over the summer my #1 worry was finding quality childcare for my 3 year old. Excellence ELC has exceeded ALL of my expectations! My son is actually excited to go to “school” & most days doesn’t want to leave when I pick him up. I love that they follow an actual lesson plan. They have a “cafeteria” menu so that we know what our child eats each day, & my most favorite thing is that she sends pictures and videos throughout the day to let you know how your child is doing. Our family is so blessed to have found Aminah

I am VERY pleased with EELC! My 2 yr old son loves going and I can already see an improvement in his social skills and language development. I love the fact that Mrs. Aminah pays attention to each child’s individual learning needs. She also sends awesome pics/vids and updates throughout the day so I know when he has napped, ate and potty. I am glad to have found such a great fit for my son and I plan on keeping him here until life says otherwise!

I was lucky to find Excellence Early Learning Center at a time when I needed to make arrangements for my early school-age daughter. This home environment has been a perfect fit for us. Although she is aimed at younger children, Ms. Aminah was able to engage my daughter in many age-appropriate activities that she both loved and learned through. I quickly felt very comfortable leaving my daughter at this center and allowed her to continue her enrollment even after our childcare need was no longer necessary. I find Ms. Aminah to be easy to work with and communicate with. The app that she uses to post daily updates and pictures is helpful in keeping me informed on how my child’s day went. I look forward to continuing at this location for our future childcare needs.

Our Before & After School Care is designed to make the school day easier for families while giving children a safe, welcoming place to start and end their day.
Before School Care
Drop off as early as 6:30 a.m. and head into your day knowing your child is cared for. We provide a comfortable morning environment and safe transportation to your child’s school.
After School Care
We provide after-school pickup from participating local schools and bring children back to Excellence Early Learning Center for a fun, enriching afternoon with homework support, activities, time with friends, and caring supervision.
You handle the school year. We’ll help with the before and after.

The Excellence Journal is a collection of reflections on family, learning, and wellness, shaped by real experiences in parenting, education, and everyday life. Excellence in Motion: Together in TEAL
This September, the Excellence Early Learning Center community is coming together for the Together in TEAL 5K to support ovarian cancer awareness and research.
We’re inviting our families, friends, and extended village to join us. You can walk, run, cheer us on, or support the cause in whatever way feels right for you. The goal is not how fast we finish. It is showing up together for women, families, and a cause that affects so many.
